Etymology : Greek: bio = life; nomos = law.
Function : noun.
1: Is a transdisciplinary field of academic research, is the comprehensive study of an organism and its relation to its environment. Today we call it, "ecology" or a more specific subdiscipline of Ecological Economics (interdependence between human economies and natural ecosystems). Derived from biology and economics, when an economic theory describing economy using the principles of biology (economy as a self-organizing ecosystem).
